What This Does And Does Not Show
Volunteer Coverage
Positions come from hobbyist receivers. A sparse area usually means few receivers nearby, not empty airspace. Coverage is weakest over oceans, mountains and rural areas.
Not Everything Broadcasts
Aircraft without ADS-B, and those using privacy addressing or on limiting-display programmes, may be absent or shown without an identity. Absence from this map is not evidence of absence from the sky.
Refresh Rate
This page refreshes about once a minute and the server caches briefly, so positions lag reality by up to a minute or so. Fine for watching a pattern; not a real-time radar display.

adsb.lol publishes its data under ODbL 1.0, which permits this use with attribution. The credit under the map is that attribution and is part of our licence to show this data.
